The Christmas Crud
(honk) Excuse us while Kristin indulges in her new favorite hobby -- blowing her nose.
We came back from Christmas in D.C. with a late Christmas present from Kristin's brother -- his Christmas cold. Well, Kristin did. Christian appears to have dodged that particular bullet. At least, he really hopes so, because this thing was just nasty. Kristin's employees MADE her go home early on Friday.
To all of you we had plans with over the weekend, we apologize. We didn't make it to a single one of the parties we had planned to attend. Didn't do any after-Christmas shopping. Didn't do much of anything, really. Slept a lot. The only reason we made it out of pajamas at all was to go out for sushi (Kristin's favorite cure for the creeping crud -- lots of wasabi), and to go over to Christian's grandmother's last night for black-eyed peas. Er, yeah. Happy new year to us.
Love to all our friends and warm wishes for 2007.

Oh no! I'm sorry Kristin is sick. Kristin, I bet Christian is nicer to you and more understanding than I have been with Rob during his time of need. At least, I hope so. :) Happy 2007!

Thanks, guys. Our New Year's was a total bust. I rang in the new year with a shot of NyQuil and was in bed by 12:01. Truly tragic.

Okay, you two...it's almost February and no new posts...am beginning to worry! Come back! Come back! (pretend I'm saying these 'come back's in a pathetic Rose-dangling-from-a-door-in-the-ocean-in-Titanic voice). It's much funnier when I do it in person, I promise.

Y'all may not be monitoring this blog anymore, but just in case, we send our best wishes and many hugs for a much better 2008. Been there, y'all, and wore the t-shirt out. The atmosphere off Planet Gannettica is less rarefied, Christian. [wink]

Hello and thanks for the wonderful wishes, grandfille! We feel so shamed that we haven't written anything in this space for so long, but nevertheless, we promise to return just as we left: Without knowing the difference between cilantro and parsley. But that's another story. We have better ones. We promise! Our cats are much bigger now. And we just discovered that they like to eat flip flops. And now that we're married -- we did actually get married, you know -- we have seen at least two concerts. Haven't we? Yes! We have! But we will post more. We will be back with our sometimes lame music recommendations. And we will regale you with tales of our mischief and wanderlust. And we will come back here and look our enemies in the eyes, and tell them that they may take our lives, but they'll never take away our FREEEEDOM! Or something like that.
